Single Microphone + ø13.6mm Drivers

PowerBeats Pro are expensive and you may not afford it but you need a pair of sports TWS for the gym that is sweat resistant and fit securely the SoundPEATS TrueWings would be a contender.
I knew SpoundPEATS since they were just a small seller on Amazon with wired wireless sports earbuds that look a lot like other. But as their revenue grew they invested back on original design which is sporty, durable and stay put int the ear. Since they focus on sports most of their earbuds sound dynamic, have strong bass and most importantly they are quite cheap.
SoundPEATS TrueWings was equipped with entry tier Bluetooth chip from REALTEK RTL8763VXP which manages Bluetooth connection solid and smooth. A good thing, the earbuds come with touch control panel on the earbuds and it would be handy if you don’t sweat a lot. Touch control is responsive but it may not if your finger is sweat.
The transparency feature is another plus – that let’s you hear the ambient sound – if you need to be aware of. But it’s not clear and you can’t increase how much you want to hear – the feature only found in premium TWS.
PowerBeats Pro owners maybe hesitant to take their expensive to run outside under the rain (heavy!) but with IPX7 rating the TrueWings works fine under that conditions wheater you sweat a lot or moderate rain.
IPX7 rating and strong, dynamic sound and earhooks like PowerBeats Pro make the TrueWings – an a functional sports earbuds if you are on the budget.

Package & Accessories

The unboxing experience is nothing new, not like unboxing premium product – the white box package is simple – image and logo but quite elegant . Well it include:
- Charging cable Type-C
- 3 pairs of eartips cặp eartips
- User manual
- A charging case
Battery life
Our battery test: the TrueWings can last for approximately 4 hours, lesser if we increased the volume. No fast charging. The charging case can provide additional 22 hours for earbuds – I like the charging case – it has battery indicator and it’s easy to remove the earbuds or clip back in – the bud come quite straightforward to contact with the charging pin in the case.
Pairing
You can either pair the L or R earbud with your phone. If it’s the L first and later the R they will automatically sync, but when the L run out of juice and needs to be recharged, you just use the single R – it keeps the music continue with the R.
Comfort & Fit
The SoundPEATS TrueWings design was truly inspired from PowerBeats Pro with the earhooks and the audio chamber. The design you could find from other brand like Mpow Flame Pro or Mpow Flame Lite. This design allow you to join toughest exercise without worrying the buds falling out.
SoundPEATS TrueWings costs 5 times less than PowerBeats Pro but sitting next to each other they are quite matched for size and shape. Build quality is great for the price and the pin at the charging ports is gold coated that’s impressive.
You will get used to it after initial wear that you hook the bud over your ear and do a bit twist to adjust the position. The TrueWing’s nozzles size is about ø5mm, you can buy aftermarket comply foam eartips to increase comfort and noise isolation.
Call performance
Since they are sports earbuds, don’t highly expect for its call quality – I tested and the result isn’t promising, just average even worse than using phone alone. In the quite environment the call quality is workable.
Sound Quality
SoundPEATS TrueWings have massive driver which is 13.6mm a bit larger than PowerBeats Pro’s 12mm. But this doesn’t tell anything about the sound if making a comparison between these two pairs.
TrueWings sound dynamic, sub-bass is present a bit emphasized and while mid-bass is punchy.
Mid-range is warm and smooth and since it’s bass emphasized so feel a bit rescessed but not really since the highs is not too much clear or bright even at higher volume.
