Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro Review

When it comes to the size of TWS, there are a few pairs that top the competion, we have Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro that look as big and heavy as Sony WF-1000XM3 and Bose Quietcomfort Earbuds – All of them reach the size I think they wouldn’t be bigger.

The size of earbuds are correlated with the tech packed in and the sound – the bass of Liberty 2 Pro is also as impressive as its size, mid-range is highly present, and the treble is not somethings as strong as the bass presentation and just a bit artificial.

So I can’t literally call it having V-shaped sound, but it’s highly rated for dynamic sound with prominent bass performance and you will like its sound as mainstream consumer and sport lovers.

Sound signature: Enhanced bass

Battery life – 8/10

Our battery test: the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro can last for more or less than 8 hours. Quick charging 10min/2hours. The case can provide additional 24 hours for the buds.

Pairing and Connectivity – 8/10

Simple and straight forward for pairing and connecting with your Android phones. However, you don’t get the key feature that AirPods Pro have with iOS devices like open the case for instant pairing request.

The Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro don’t support multipoint sport, I think there is a reason for that – they are designed for sports rather than for calls.

If you have two phone placed close to each other, the Bluetooth interference may happen making the sound cut off sometimes.

Design And Build Quality – 8.0/10

Build quality is great even with just IPX4 rating, I would say the Bose Sports Earbuds are rugged and able to stand still during your vigorous exercise.

Touch control works, though there is a learning curve to get used to it. It’s not the most sensitive touch control, related to your excessive sweating, the touch may be even less sensitive or difficult to tap.

Comfort & Fit – 7/10

These are the largest earbuds I’ve tried (the same size and weight as Sony WF-1000XM3 and Bose QuietComfort Earbuds) at first it’s not quite comfortable, but after a few day I get used to the fit – but I won’t forget that I’m wearing them.

I used this pair for a couple of runs around Giang Vo lake, currently I lived in Hanoi city. The buds stay put I never have to fix the earbuds position, I tried to mute the music just to test how I could hear my steps, clothes rubbing sound and honestly they caused the least occlusion effect.

I took them with me on GrabBike rides, they stay put, I just need to twist it a bit more further than usual into the ear.

They are definitely a solid pair of earbuds for running or working out.

Call performance – 7/10

Wearing these earbuds in my office, I occasionally take calls from my colleagues, that they say my voice is loud but not that clear so I don’t think they are a good pair for business calls but if it’s fine for casual phone calls via Messenger or other messaging apps. I rated Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro as quite good.

Sound Quality – 8.2/10

After two months of listening various kinds of music, I took them on my trip back home on shuttle bus, jogging around a lake while wearing them. I really like its sound and they could be the pair that product the least occlusion effect.

But treble is not airy and natural as it would be compared to AirPods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM3, I guess the balanced armature is not quite configured right for this range and the low-treble is emphasized which makes the sound feel a bit harsh to listen.

Since Liberty 2 Pro are sports earbuds they are supposed to have great bass – and frankly its sound is all the bass.
