When were earbuds invented and who did?

Whoever invented earbuds would never imagine Airpods, ‎WF-SP700N or IQ BUDS MAX today as consumer products.

So when were earbuds actually invented as a headphone? – the real product that can blast music.

Earbuds were first briefly introduced in The May 1926 issue of Science and Invention magazine. These headphones are more comfortable, portable and less bulky than over ear headphones. Though it doesn’t indicate who come up with the idea.

The first kind of earbuds are MDR-W30L released by Sony in early 80′.
