It is a interesting idea for true wireless earbuds with removable battery.
Back in 2017 the Syllable came up with an idea of TWS with removable battery – but that didn’t work. The connection is not consistant, sound quality is below average, and battery is short.
Taking advantages of Bluetooth 5.0 the Syllable recently released the upgrade of D9X with Bluetooth 5.0, the sound, battery life and connection have been improved.
The D9X come with 2 spare packs of batteries – 4 additional hours for earbuds. So when the first pair run out of battery, you can replace them for continuous listening. There is no quick charging feature, and the battery gets fully charged in about a hour.

The D9X featuers A hard-press button for controls – calls, pause/play music, and skip tracks.
The mic is not on the battery pack which stay closest to the user’s mouth, so the voice call quality is just average, so don’t expect their performance is comparable to Airpods or Jabra.
For sound, the D9X’s signature can be natural and balanced, the bass is decent, the high is clear. I consisder their sound as GOOD since often these type of earbuds are not harsh, bass is not floating or muddy.
