Active noise cancelling is truly necessary for earbuds? Sort of, since more companies add this feature to their earbuds and the latest did so is JBL.
Aside from ANC, JBL also added sound customization (SC) and wireless charging to their JBL Club Pro + wireless earbuds.
The sound customization refers to the My JBL Headphones app in which the Stage+ feature has some sound signature presets curated by top DJs you can pick accordingly for the Pro +.

The company claims the JBL Club Pro Plus’ design is inspired by professional IEMs used by artists on stage, but they don’t claim it as true wireless IEMs which are not popular since their Bluetooth audio is not matched up to the IEMs sound.
Most ANC true wireless offer ambient aware or transparency mode, the Club Pro Plus gets that too and you can activate it just by tapping. Touch control is very convenient for daily use for some earbuds we can even customize how we can interact with – single/double/touch and hold.. but for Club Pro + there is no information that we can customize the tap control.
Not included wingtips or earhooks for a more secure fit, the Club Pro + -is sweat- resistant with IPX4 rating that’s quite standard and you certainly can take them to the gym.
We’ve seen others with longer lasting battery but the JBL Club Pro + can manage to play 8 hours straight between charges or 6 hours with ANC on. This is just above avearge given others can top 10 hours of listening time.
Club Pro Plus’ charging case has wireless charging and gives 24 hours more of battery for earbuds, and 10 min charging earbuds gives 1 hour of listening is not a revamp for fast charging – the feature also included in the specs.
Headset function is very important as users like their calls happening as natural as taking calls with phone as possible – like you can hear your voice as the way it is and the caller hears your voice clear. Built with 3 microphones the JBL Club Pro + are able to block out the background noise pretty well and technically enhance your voice to deliver crystal clear voice call – that I will verify later when I try them.
The Club Pro+ TWS will be set to release next month on October 25th. It’s retailed for $200 and will directly compete with Sennheiser CX 400BT True Wireless
